Council gives a hand to public art works6 May 2013
Clarence City Council has recently refurbished another piece of public artwork. The work titled the Hand of Change by Matthew Carney (1966 – 2011) located in Montagu Bay Park was completed in 1990 and was carved from the stump of an old Macrocarpa Pine using chainsaws.

Change to Australia Day Awards in Clarence6 May 2013
The Annual City of Clarence Australia Day Citizens Awards is changing to reflect the categories in the National Australian of the Year Awards and better highlight the efforts of young and old Clarence residents.

New trail hub helps riders, cyclists and walkers6 May 2013
The Mayor of Clarence officially opened a hub for the Tangara Trail in Acton during April. This park provides an access point to the Tangara Trail for visitors from other parts of Clarence and the wider Hobart area.
