Brinktop Bushland Reserve Trail

  • Length: 3km
  • Time: Approximately 40-50 minutes one way
  • Getting there: Park at the Richmond Bridge carpark off Wellington St and cross the road to the footpath on the south side. Walk east along Wellington St past historic homes until the start of the track is reached at Morgan St.
  • Dogs: on lead

The track winds through a corridor of trees adjacent to Brinktop Road. The track follows the northern boundary of Richmond Park, one of the oldest properties in Australia dating from the 1810s. It climbs gently towards Brinktop Hill where it crosses a quiet road and enters Brinktop Bushland Reserve. There is a circuit track in the reserve which gives views across the Coal River Valley and Richmond township. The reserve contains rare and endangered plant species. Suitable for walking or biking.
